• Dry Season (June to October): This is the premier time for wildlife viewing. The savannah grasses recede, and the animals are forced to congregate around the Kagera River and the remaining permanent swamps, making game viewing highly predictable and rewarding. • Green Season (November to May): The two rainy seasons transform the rolling hills into an incredibly lush, emerald paradise. While the roads can become challenging to navigate and the wildlife disperses into the thick vegetation, this is the absolute best time for specialized birdwatching and dramatic landscape photography.
