Terms & Cancellation Policy – Gnade Safaris

At Gnade Safaris, we are committed to providing transparent, reliable, and customer-friendly booking and cancellation terms. These conditions are designed to protect both our valued guests and our company while ensuring a smooth safari experience across Tanzania and East Africa.

1. Booking & Payment Policy

  • A deposit of 30% of the total safari cost is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.

  • The remaining balance (70%) must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the start of your safari.

  • For bookings made less than 30 days before travel, full payment is required immediately.

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or secure online platforms. Bank charges are the responsibility of the client.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us in writing via email. The following charges will apply, based on the number of days before the safari start date:

  • More than 60 days before departure – Full refund, minus bank/transaction charges.

  • 30–59 days before departure – 30% cancellation fee (deposit non-refundable).

  • 15–29 days before departure – 50% of total safari cost is non-refundable.

  • 7–14 days before departure – 75% of total safari cost is non-refundable.

  • Less than 7 days or no-show – 100% cancellation fee.

⚠️ Important: Some services such as flights, hotels, and gorilla permits (if applicable) are non-refundable once booked, and their individual cancellation policies will apply.

3. Amendments & Postponements

  • Date changes are possible depending on availability, but additional costs may apply.

  • If a safari is postponed due to force majeure (natural disasters, pandemics, political instability), Gnade Safaris will offer a travel credit valid for 12 months.

4. Liability & Responsibility

  • Gnade Safaris acts only as an agent for hotels, airlines, lodges, and other service providers. We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or accidents caused by third-party suppliers.

  • Travel involves risks, including wildlife encounters and off-road driving. Clients are responsible for following safety instructions from guides.

  • We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and personal belongings.

5. Health & Travel Documents

  • Guests are responsible for obtaining the necessary visas, passports, vaccinations, and health certificates required for travel in Tanzania and East Africa.

  • Failure to comply with entry requirements does not constitute grounds for a refund.

6. Complaints & Disputes

  • Any complaints should be reported immediately to your guide or lodge so that corrective action can be taken.

  • If unresolved, written complaints must be submitted within 14 days of the safari end date.

  • All legal disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.

7. Customer Protection

Your trust is our priority. Gnade Safaris ensures:

  • Secure handling of client funds and bookings.

  • Transparent communication with no hidden charges.

  • Personalized support before, during, and after your safari.
