Your adventure begins with a prompt, private pick-up from your Zanzibar hotel. By 7:00 AM, you will be in the air, enjoying a breathtaking scenic flight over the Indian Ocean before landing directly in the heart of Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival at the Kikoboga Airstrip, your Gnade Safaris guide will be waiting with a premium 4x4 Safari Land Cruiser. With the pop-up roof raised for 360-degree viewing, you’ll immediately head into the wild to track lions, elephants, and giraffes across the stunning Mkata Floodplain.

Mid-Day: The "Mini-Serengeti" & Hippo Pool Picnic
As the sun climbs, we navigate the "mini-Serengeti" landscapes where the wildlife density is at its highest. You’ll witness massive herds of buffalo and wildebeest grazing in the open savannah. For lunch, we provide a truly immersive experience: a gourmet picnic lunch served at a scenic site overlooking the famous Hippo Pools. Here, you can enjoy a high-quality meal while watching hippos bask in the water and exotic birds congregate at the water’s edge.

Afternoon: Deep Exploration & Sunset Return
The journey continues into the ancient baobab woodlands and hidden watering holes. This is the prime time to search for the more elusive residents of Mikumi, including leopards and the rare sable antelope. As the "golden hour" approaches—offering the perfect light for photography—we begin our journey back to the airstrip. By late afternoon, you’ll fly back to Zanzibar, where our driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel, arriving in time for a relaxing dinner on the beach.
