We specifically chose February for the calving season in Ndutu, and honestly, it was the best travel decision we’ve ever made. Seeing thousands of wildebeest spread across the plains with tiny newborn calves taking their first steps was something we will never forget. It felt raw, real, and incredibly powerful. One morning, we witnessed a newborn calf stand up just minutes after birth. Our guide quietly explained how survival begins immediately in the wild. Later that same day, we saw predators nearby — a strong reminder of how delicate life is during this season. Everything was perfectly arranged by Gnade Safaris. The lodge in Ndutu was beautiful and peaceful, and our guide always positioned the vehicle in the best spots for photography without rushing us. If you want to see nature at its most dramatic and emotional, calving season is absolutely worth it.

From day one, I was quite nervous, as this was our first time ever booking an African safari. While staying in Zanzibar, I started communicating with Aron, and he guided us patiently through everything. Because we had limited time, we decided on a 3-day Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater safari. What truly impressed us was how well everything was arranged. Aron organized all transfers seamlessly — from our hotel in Zanzibar to the airport, and again from the airport back to our hotel after the safari. At first, we honestly did not expect everything to be handled so smoothly. Although the safari was short, it was absolutely worth it. The experience exceeded our expectations, and it has already made us promise ourselves that we will return for more days in the Serengeti in the future. A special appreciation goes to our guide, who was extremely knowledgeable — not only about wildlife, but also about the landscapes and the environment. He shared so much information about the animals, landscapes, and local culture, making each day both exciting and educational. We saw the Big Five and many other incredible animals, and Benedict always made sure we had the best viewing spots without disturbing the wildlife. The accommodations recommended by Gnade Safaris were wonderful—comfortable, clean, and with great hospitality. The whole trip was well-organized, affordable, and professionally handled from start to finish.
