Day 1
Zanzibar to Mikumi – The Scenic Crossing
Your adventure starts early at the Zanzibar Ferry Terminal. You’ll board a high-speed ferry (Azam Marine) for a 90-minute crossing to Dar-es-Salaam. Upon arrival, your Gnade Safaris driver will meet you in a private, air-conditioned 4x4.
The drive to Mikumi takes you through vibrant Tanzanian villages and the beautiful Uluguru Mountains. We’ll stop for a local lunch along the way. By late afternoon, we reach the gates of Mikumi and check into Camp Bastian, where you can relax by the pool as the sun dips below the baobab trees.

Day 2
Full Day Immersive Game Drive
This is the heart of your safari. After an early breakfast, we enter the park for a full day of exploration. Without the rush of a return flight, we can venture into the more remote corners of the park.
We will track the "Mikumi Giants" (elephants and buffalo) and search for the elusive leopard. At midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild. We return to the lodge in the evening for a traditional Tanzanian feast.

Day 3
Final Wildlife Sighting & Return to Zanzibar
One last early morning game drive gives us a chance to see the animals we might have missed—often the best time to see lions on the move. After a late breakfast at the lodge, we begin our journey back to Dar-es-Salaam.
We will coordinate your arrival at the ferry terminal perfectly with the afternoon boat schedule. You will arrive back in Stone Town, Zanzibar, by evening, just in time for a walk through the night market.
